This month, our Poly Victoria team took part in the annual City2Sea charity marathon run, testing their fitness and competitiveness while donating their entry fees to The National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The race kicked off early Sunday morning from the beautifully peaceful St Kilda Road, where the team prepped and stretched to get their blood pumping for the big run.
The course spanned all the way to the St Kilda beach foreshore, with thousands of members of the community joining in the fun run and raising money for a number of organisations in the process.
According to one Poly Victoria team member, the community spirit and team support was invigorating, “It reminded us of the battles people face and the importance of not giving up,” said Suzana Mars, Poly Victoria Marketing Executive.
A total of 8,207 people entered the marathon on the day, collectively raising $268,023.40 for numerous charities.
Poly Australia’s Victoria team was proud to be involved in the event. The team were sure to refuel at the finish line with some delicious breakfast whilst meeting some great people on the day!
The team at Poly Victoria look forward to next year’s run, with the aim to beat their personal best times and again contribute to a great cause which aims to make a difference in the lives of people affected by cancer.
