Looking back on a successful 2017

Looking back on our growth over 2017

November 29th, 2017

As we approach the end of the year, and with just one month to go, it’s a good time to reflect on 2017 – and Poly Australia’s third year in Australia.

At the beginning of the year, Poly Australia Managing Director Arthur Wang outlined a goal to expand the Poly Australia team, and also extending our development footprint across Victoria and NSW.

This year, our team has more than doubled, with 60 employees across both states – you can find out more about our team by clicking here.

We’ve also set the foundations to launch our inaugural Graduate Program in 2018, attracting even more of the industry’s best talent to Poly Australia.

Also this year, Poly Global took a big step into expanding into the United Kingdom, our very own Investment Manager, Chris Howard taking on the role of building and expanding the London office. We look forward to making a number of announcements about what he has been up to so far.

This year we also launched our own in-house agency – Poly Agency, both in NSW and Victoria. The in-house sales team has hit the ground running on our projects in Epping, Lindfield, and Claremont Manor in South Yarra.

On the project front, this year we were proud to top out at our landmark development, Poly Horizon in Sydney’s Epping, and we are on track for early completion in April 2018.

Our house and land estate Grove Place, in Werrington in Western Sydney is on track for final settlement, and this year we also launched our newest development, Tilia by Poly, a boutique residential development in the heart of Lindfield in Sydney’s north shore.

Tilia by Poly in Lindfield will offer residents their own secret garden oasis

This year, we also secured two new sites for future development, in Sydney’s growing south west city of Bankstown, and Kogarah. Both sites will play vital roles for the future growth of these areas.

In Bankstown, the site of the Bankstown RSL Club will be transformed into a mixed-use residential and entertainment hub for the growing community, while in Kogarah, the site of 6 amalgamated blocks will make way for a boutique development in one of Sydney’s most popular suburbs.

As part of our development of 210-220 George Street in Sydney’s CBD, the City of Sydney held a design excellence competition, attracting globally renowned architecture firms to design our first commercial building in Australia. London based Grimshaw took out the competition and we are thrilled to be working alongside them to develop what will become one of the CBD’s A-Grade office towers.

2017 has been a big year, and we plan for an even bigger 2018, stay tuned for many more announcements.
