The canny investor bought a property on the eight floor, with the intention to appeal to feng-shui-concious renters. But, she didn’t stop there.
“My understanding is the eighth floor is a good luck number,” she said.
Her one-bedroom apartment features a double balcony and walk-in wardrobe, with the layout of the apartment a winner for the Traralgon midwife. While the South Yarra location and low maintenance also ticked her investment boxes.
“I used to have a property in Melbourne. It was a townhouse and this time I wanted something that was low maintenance, without a garden,” she said. “Claremont Manor appealed to me mostly because of the location – being so close to public transport, good shops, restaurants, schools, access to the city. All those things are a big plus for me.”
However, with the lack of a garden comes other highly sought after amenities, such as a heated lap pool, sauna, gymnasium and an entertainment lounge available to all residents.
Robina purchased the apartment through her self-managed superannuation fund, and she says South Yarra has always held a special place in her heart.
“My first house I ever owned was in South Yarra and then I rented that out when I got married, so I love the area myself and the location,” she lamented.
